Detox is a word that’s thrown around a lot. It’s one of those words that really help to sell a product. All this talk of ‘stored toxins’ ‘free radicals’ These words are pretty much made up!
All this talk of flushing ourselves out like our bodies are a site for nuclear waste is just ridiculous, magazines are filled to the brim especially at this time of year sending woman into a frenzy buying all the latest tinctures, potions and miracle liquids, all in the hope that the Christmas binge will be forgiven!
For instance I read an article from a woman’s mag advising a berry only diet! Surely by loading oneself up with black berries, strawberry’s and blueberries your only going to cause an imbalance from eating to much of one thing.
There’s definitely foods you can eat and natural remedies you can practise which will make you lose weight and look great but there needs to be a balance.
It’s plain and simple. Nothing marked detox is going to change our lives, we can do that naturally with a good balanced diet, exercise and well-being.
